I have 3 contact folders in outlook. 2 are empty phantom like folders that I
can not get rid of. My actual contacts are in the 3rd contact folder. When
I send or forward an email I have to click on the "to" button and select the
3rd contact folder in the drop down box, then pick my contacts. Also, when I
click the "to" button, I get the following error message:
"The address list could not be diplayed. The contacts folder associated
with this address list could not be opened; it may have been moved or
deleted, or you do not have permissions. For information on how to remove
this folder from the Outlook Address Book, see Microsoft Outlook Help."
Is there any way to remove the other 2 empty contact folders? Or any way to
make the actual contact folder my default folder?
Thanks, Amanda

Are you using Outlook 2000 in CW mode or IMO mode? The second line of
Help>About will tell you.

Then click Tools>Services. Select Outlook Address Book, click (I think)
Properties, and remove the incorrect folders there.
