multiple address books in outlook select name

when i try to select names for choosing a To:  email address in outlook i am
shown duplicate conatct address books with the same name. one of each of
these seems to be an old contact address book...how do i get rid of these old
duplicate selections?

Just remove them here:
Tools > E-mail accounts > View or change existing directories or address
books > Outlook Address Book > Change. >
