My computer partially crashed.  My local profile is corrupt.  All of my saved
emails and contacts have disappeared -- i.e. when I open Outlook there is no
infomation.  Outlook working as if I am a new user.  (I may have to reinstall
Windows and all my other programs.)

Questions -
Are my contacts saved on my hard drive but Outlook is not accessing it
because I am being treated as a new user?
Where would I look for the file with the contacts.

I use the following:
Microsoft Outlook 2000
Windows NT Home Edition

Can you find any PST files that are older on your machine anywhere? Check
especially in all directories (hidden ones included) under your old profile
directory.
