I have two profiles, one for private mails, and one for official business
mails. For both I would like to use the same list of contacts. So far I could
not find a way to do this. As this is however a very elementary issue I am
quite sure this can be done easily, only HOW is this done?

Hi Sebasitian,

you could create an additional PST file (File/New/Personal Folder (PST) only
with a contact folder. Then you can move or copy all your contacts into this
Contact.PST file and open this PST file also in the private Outlook profil.

After you add this "contact.pst" in the other profil, click on the new
contact folder/right mouseclick/Outlook Addressbook/show this folder as
Outlook Addressbook.
