I want to know how you get your friends to write you on your e-mail.
Start by sending them a message -- not a joke, not a stupid survey, but a real letter with news about yourself or a request for help with a project or a suggestion that you all get together some time. People will write when they have something to say and when they can expect a meaningful, personal message to come back in response.
