I want to send a mail to more than one contact of a certain category. If i
choose only one I can use the right mouse button, then "send message to
contact" - but I can't do that with more than one contact. Or is there any
possibility to search for contacts of a certain category in the adress book?

In Contacts, choose the view By Category, expand the category you want,
choose the contacts you want, then menu Actions > New message to contact
