problems with distribution lists and group replies in Outlook

The Cook - 31 Mar 2006 20:48 GMT I am using Windows XP and Outlook 2003. I cannot get my email sent to a distribution list to go to the recipients. Nor can I reply to a group ("reply all"). Worse than this is that I go to my "Sent" folder and my message is there, with all the addressees, looking like it has been sent.
I have started over from scratch at least 5 times, using Help screens, to no avail. I have used Outlook in the past and never once had to go to a Help screen to set up or effectively use a mail distribution list. Can anyone provide some insight into what is wrong, or what I need to do next?

We are on a team, and are sending messages back and forth. I started using Outlook when the main computer crashed. I used my laptop (Outlook) while it was being repaired, and the lists worked fine there. This probelm began when I started from scratch with my mail list on the repaired computer. Prior to that, I was using Outlook, then switched to Incredi-Mail.
And the other problem is when I "Reply All" none of the recipients get the message from me. When I send individual emails, they work. Thank you for your help. I hope you can help me solve this.

I know you've tried recreating it, but you might try one more time.
The Reply to All issue is one I have never encountered. Outlook can only reply to the addresses in the incoming message. It's not going to change them to something else. Nor does it matter to Outlook whether there's one address or 200 in the message. It might matter, though, to your mail provider. Maybe they're discarding any messages with more than a couple of recipients.

They work when I use Outlook from my laptop, or when I send to the same distribution list in AOL. I am frustrated enough to just quit using Outlook, and go back to AOL, or the ISP for my specific email address there. Outlook has so many features I like; that is why I was using it. But not being able to communicate with 2 teams when I need to, at the computer with the printer, etc., is just too much to ask and too frustrating for words, when I'm trying to get out timely information to my teams. I would appreciate any help or insights that might fix this problem. Thank you for your feedback. Is there anyone else who might be able to uncover the problem behind this situation?

So how do I get the help I need, and deserve, without incurring that cost?

Generally one email, chat, or phone support request is included at no charge, but only for retail copies. Any subsequent support requests incur a charge.
If it turns out to be a bug, Microsoft generally refunds any charges.
For troubleshooting purposes, if you haven't already run Help | Detect and Repair, you should do so. It might also be worth testing with a completely new mail profile created in Control Panel | Mail or Control Panel | User Accounts| Mail

The Cook - 04 Apr 2006 15:14 GMT I have tried your suggestion, and ran the Help|Detect and Repair program in Outlook. I then created a new distribution list, included myself on the list, and that email was not received by the recipients. It idd appear in my SENT folder, as if it went without a problem.
I am still trying to find out whether or not my copy of Office is retail or not. I have some call is to our vendor. Meantime, I am providing you with the information on both versions of Outlook I'm using: Outlook 2003 (11.6359.6408) SP1 [this is the version that WORKS]; and Outlook 2003 (11.8010.6568) SP2 [this is the version that is not working for distribution lists and for "reply all" messages]. For a little more background on this situation, the one that works is on my laptop, which was recently repaired. The day I got that back, our main computer crashed, and the SP2 version is on the repaired main computer.
I hope this information sheds some light on the problem. Meantime, thank you again for all your efforts in helping to resolve the problem!
