I have a distribution list that is too extensive.  How can I remove some of
the contact email addresses and place them in another Distribution List?

Hmm...  I did this in Outlook 2003

Open the distribution list.  Select File-->Copy To Folder
Navigate to the Contacts Folder.
Select OK

Now in the contacts folder there are 2 distribution lists with that name.
Open one and rename it to the new name you want.  Then highlight and delete
the addresses you don't want there (instead of adding the ones you do want).
This is not perfect, but seems much easier to me.
