30 of 89 mailings are returned too many recipients? Why?

I sent an email to 89 people. 30 were returned with comment "452 4.5.3 Too
many recipients"? Is there a maximum number of people that a single email can
go to?

That limit is set by the mail server not the client so check with your ISP
or mail administrator to see what the limit is (looks to be about 59 or 60).
