I am running Outlook2000 and WinXP/SP2. I have not typically used contacts
because I want ONE "address book" for multiple profiles. I have not found a
way to sync my PAB with my PDA, so I am forced to migrate to Contacts. I
imported my PAB into the Contacts folder. That worked OK. I removed the PAB
from the list of services. I expected to be able to "see" contacts when I
navigated to Tools | Services | Addressing, but found nothing. When I click
on Address Book, again nothing. When I try to look up an email address using
either the TO button or cntl K, there is nothing. So, for some reason, the
Contacts folder is not being recognized as a valid "address book".
Any idea why this might happen?

I'm a little rusty on OL2000 stuff but is the Outlook Address Book service
in your profile here: Tools menu > Services? If not, add it then right click
on your Contacts folder, go to the Outlook Address Book tab and check the
box to show the folder as an email address book.

Thanks. Your reply gave me the clues I needed to sort this out. More
importantly, I have figured out a way to "share" the contacts folder across
multiple profiles.
