I too have the same issue, there isnt much information to give. The only
thing I have done is to create a test profile and copy contacts from one to
another...then I can delete. It almost seems the container (pst file) is
corrupt. Oh...and it doesnt happen on all contacts. I have been unable to
find a pattern. I have run the scanpst, it finds no problems. Isnt there
some log file to refer to? I have searched high and low and found others who
have the same issue but no solution as of yet.

So why don't you just create a new profile since that works?
