I have Outlook XP and Outlook Express 6.0 on my WindowsXP
pc. How do I share the contacts folder with OE 6.0? The
options are not available in the newer software to make
the connection. Anybody have any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

That has never been an option in Outlook except in the long abandoned IMO
mode. You can do something similar with a reg hack:

Russ,
My old laptop ( Dell Inspiron 7000, Windows 98, MS Ofice
2000, Outlook 2000 & OutLook Express 6.0) I used Outlook
Express for my e-mails. That version has a Tool, Option
line in the Address Book Window, Tools, Option that let
you ckeck DATA SHARING "Share Contact information among MS
Outlook and other applications. Address book data will be
stored in the MS Outlook Contact Store" My new Laptop
(Dell Inspiron 8500, XP Pro, MS Office 2002, Outlook 2002
& Outlook Express (XP) 6.0) does not have the Data Share
Option. I was an option in 98 can't it be done in XP Pro?
Regards

I'll restate, then. The option only existed in IMO mode of Outlook 98/2000.
Never in the full version of Outlook, nor in Outlook 2002. I posted the
workaround already.

Had same question.   Per Microsoft no can do directly.
Have to export and import since you don't have a "server".
Seemed odd but that is what I was told when I called them
for that point.
