All of a sudden my contact file in outlook is blank after the letter M.  Is
there a way to reindex or repair this file.  I tried to find a archived
contact file but could only find calender archive files

Contacts are never archived.
Data does not just go missing for no reason. You must know something besides
"all of a sudden."
What information store are you using? If it is a PST file, have you tried
repairing this file with the Inbox Repair Tool or look for these Contacts in
another folders (like Deleted Items).
