I'm a newby, so maybe I'm missing something obvious, but
I'm trying to create a distribution list with some
members receiving the e-mail directly (TO: recipients)
and some receiving carbon copies (CC: recipients). My
assumption was to use the "Send Options..." button found
at the bottom right-hand corner of the "Select Members"
overlay as I was adding my members to the list. But, when
I select a member and click this button, I receive the
following error message: "Per-recipient send options
could not be set. This recipient has no options
specified." What gives?

I've tried to locate answers to this question using the
Outlook application help system...no help there. I've
also searched for answers using Microsoft's Knowledge
Base as well...again, no help found.

Can anyone answer this question for me?

I also have another question concerning Dist. Lists...the
situation is this: I want to send a message to 10 of 15
people on a distribution list. Rather than inputting 10
names directly or building yet another dist. list, I
thought I could use the pre-existing dist. list, expand
it in the TO: field so it shows individual recipients,
and then remove the five names of those I don't want to
receive it. Sounds simple enought to me. (This function
was a breeze in our now defunct HP OpenMail
application...which was hardly a robust application!)
Trouble is, I haven't found a way to expand out a dist.
list in the TO: field in Outlook. Is there a way to do
this function? If there is, I haven't found it yet.

Thanks in advance for any input to these two questions.

Distribution Lists are lists of names and e-mail addresses. Period.
The field in which DL's are placed is determined at the time you send the
message. It is not a property of the DL.
