How to recover contacts and emails from corrupted hard drive?

The file to boot my computer was corrupt, thus I had to replace the hard
drive.  I have been able to recover all files except for my Outlook contacts
and the saved emails on my computer including a VERY important draft.  I have
set up my old hard drive externally to transfer files to the new HD.  How can
I find/retrieve my Outlook contacts as well as the important emails that were
saved in folders in my outlook?

The file you need is your Personal Folders file (*.pst) It's where all the
mail, calendar, contacts etc are stored.
