I set up a distribution list in Microsoft Outlook, and
saved it in my Contacts folder. Outlook will allow me to
create a new message to send to the list, but when I hit
send it gives me the message "Microsoft Outlook does not
recognize '[dl name]'". What should I do?
thanks

When you enter the name of the DL in the To: field, is it resolved (i.e.,
underlined)? If not, describe how you created this DL and make sure all its
members have valid email addresses.

It's not underlined. I entered everying in Outlook 2002
by going to "File:New:Distribution List" and adding
emails by click "Add New..." because I didn't want
everyone in the list to be in my address book. Their
email addresses are all working.

The DL is not valid for some reason, or it would be resolved automatically.
There is no way to tell from here what is wrong with it. Did you create it
in a Contacts Folder that is included in the Outlook Address Book? Create a
test DL with only a couple of entries and see if it will resolve.
