My new Ipaq (hx2790) generates an error message when syncing with Outlook
2003 for Contacts, but NOT for Notes.  HP says this is a Microsoft problem,
since the Ipaq syncs Files, Notes, etc.  Old Ipaq (2215) had no problem with
Contacts, and I really use that list on my Ipaq.  SO.  Does anyone have ideas
about "synchronization could not be completed - support code 80070490"?  I
searched the knowledge base, but didn't find anything that applied.

If in fact it is a Microsoft problem, it is not an Outlook problem.
Ask in an ActivSync group.

HP believes that there is a problem in my Outlook that is causing the
synchronization to fail.  Specifically, in Contacts.  But I will take the
error over to an ActivSync group and see if anyone there has seen anything
like it.

Thank you.

I'm afraid you'll need to. That's where all these issues reside. They are
not Outlook issues, despite what HP may think.
