Hi,
I have a contact folder in my Outlook 2003. There are hundreds of contacts
and several distribution lists. I would like to move all these contacts and
distribution lists to the different folder. When I do this, I am loosing link
between the distribution lists and its particular contacts. When I click on
the contact in distribution list, I am receiving message: "Could not find
contact ..... . It may have been deleted or moved from its original
location". Is there some way how to easily (mean not manually) "recreate" the
link?

You neglected to state what you are doing.
How are you moving these contacts to a different folder?

In originall folder I am choosing "Select all", after that right mouse click
a choosing "Move to folder" and choosing the new folder.
I also tried to copy whole folder to some different PS file, the result is
still the same.

Now you see how fragile DL's are. Few of us use them for that reason.
They usually survive a copy to another folder in the same PST, but not
always. They never survive transfer to another PST.

I am not sure, if fragile is proper word for it :-(  I am loosing  this link
between DL's contact and contact card of the particular user during any
movement (including one PST as well). The result is, that email adresses in
DL are still working, but when I update the user card, the change is not
taking affect in DL (link is broken forever). I cannot beleive, that
Microsoft thinks, that people are creating distribution lists forever,
without any movement needs.

The Update Now button has never worked, at least not in the setting of
PST's.
My guess is that Microsoft expects us to abandon DL's in favor of other more
robust alternatives, such as categories.
