I only want to use contacts for the source of my email information. I do not
want to use Address Book. How can I make contacts the default source of
information when I click on To in an Untitled Message?

To me there should be only one repository for Address/Contact information.
If you want to have different databases or a Global address list they can
simply be separate contact folders and you can make any of them the default.

I am using Outlook 2003 Sp2.

Your question is confusing. Outlook has no address book. The address book is
simply a view of your Contacts Folders.
Perhaps you mean you haven't yet discovered how to set which folder to
display first in your Address Book view. Just look at Tools > Options in
your Address Book view. It should be obvious.
