saving contact list to a cd

I am currently trying to save 4 contact lists to a cd but it is saying that
it is a read only file. I have tried exporting the information to both excel
and word and it gives me the same response when I try to save it. I have also
tried to copy and paste the information from excel and word to create a new
file but that also gives me a read only file. Any help?
This is for outlook 2000. Thanks!

What do you mean by a "contact list" and how are you trying to save it?  The
proper way to save Outlook data to a CD is to close Outlook and copy the
data file to the CD or use the burning software installed on the CD to place
it there.  See this:
