This seems to be a very popular request, judging by the number of posts. It
should be really easy to print a label or an envelope for a contact directly
from Outlook without having to go through all of the steps to merge into a
Word document.
Ideally,it would be possible to easily print a set of labels from a
displayed list of contacts - even if you have to go through the process of
setting up a view the first time. Once the setup was done once, then it would
be saved, so that the next time, the process would be:
1. display a filtered list of contacts
2. select the 'template' for the labels to be produced.
3. print.
Most people have a standard set of labels and a standard set of information
that they use on a regular basis - but the prospect of doing mail-merge -
especially for one label or one envelope is neither friendly, nor useful.

Outlook is not a word processor. Word is.
You can print an envelope or a label for an Outlook contact with one step in
Word. No need to do a mailmerge.
You can also save a mail merge document for reuse.
