My incoming mail goes into imap.cs.com Inbox. But can never delete (delete
gives cross-out). Can move to 'standard' Inbox but appears to just copy and
gives cross-out again).

How can I get incoming to go to 'standard' mailbox?

IIRC, CompuServe supports only IMAP accounts -- which behave as you're seeing them -- not POP3 accounts.

Thank for the clarification, Sue. Then that causes the question of "How do I
get items to delete / go away once I have addressed, replied, deleted, etc".

Thanks in advance,
RayGun

Use the Edit | Purge Deleted Items command.

OUTSTANDING!! Worked like a charm. Been an Outlook user for years and never
knew that existed.

Thanks a ton.
