customizing a Contacts Address Card

I am trying to customize the Address Card view. I created a new view and
removed several fields that I do not want to see and added several others.
However, when I open a new contact card, I only see the original Address Card
with all of the default fields. What am I doing wrong?

What did you customize? The folder view or the contact form?
