I imported a outlook 2000 pst file into outlook 2003. Now there are two
contact lists. One is emypy and the other has the list I imported. The empty
contact list seems to be the deflaut. When I try to pick a contact to send
email the dialog box has no contacts.

The delete option is not active on the empty contact list.

How can I make the imported list the default and or remove the emty list?

thanks,
David

Why?  There's no need and imorting from a PST causes problems.

Open the PST containing your old data with File>Open>Outlook Data File.
Open its Contacts folder, select the contents with CTRL-A, then click
Edit?Copy to Folder.  Specify as the destination your default Contacts
folder.  Do the same with the other folders, specifying the corresponding
default folders.  When you're done, right-click the added PST and choose
Close.
