Sorting contacts out Name (first) Surname (second) does not work. I have even
restarted the computer.
Sort the Contacts list by the File as field. (dont work)
Verify that the newly created contacts are sorted in the FirstName, LastName
format.(dont work)
Individually change any contacts that are still not configured to use the
FirstName, LastName  format. (works) BUT takes to long when one has 1100
contacts to change

You did not state clearly what you are trying to do or how, your Outlook
version or view.
All these features work as designed. You may not understand how they are
designed. I suspect the settings you are using are the ones that control how
new Contacts are displayed. Are they?
