Contacts catagories

Is there anyway in contacts to email my different catagories?
I do not want to create distrubution lists. I already have all my files
organized with catorgories. Can I e-mail certain catagories?

Use the By Category View of your Contacts Folder
Select the Category
Actions > New Message to Contact

I want to select an entire catagory and send a mass email as in "hotel
designers" is my catagory on some of my contacts. Can I create a distrabution
list using catagories? choose a specific group of contact that have the same
catagory instead of selecting each one?

Here's another way to do basically what Russ suggests...

Use the By Category View (turn on the Advanced Toolbars and use the Current
View Window to select it).

Drag the heading of the group you want to email to the Outbox and it will
send them an email. You can then select all names in the To... field and
drag to the BCC field.

You can also select the whole group and use Tools | Mailmerge to merge an
email to that group. There is no need to make distribution lists at all.
