I was transfering my cell phone contacts into a new folder for that in
Outlook. Somehow I did something that closed all my contacts folders, my
calendar and my e-mail and I get this pop-up box:

Unable to expand the folder. Another application closed unexpectedly while
using your personal folders file 'C:\documents and settings ... outlook.pst'
to prevent potential damage to your Personal folders file it will not be
available until you close all apps using it.

I have closed all the apps but when I retart outlook I can not find
anything.  I do have a back up file pst file.

How do I rectify thi situation??

Thanks Evan

Clarify your post. Are you saying that you can now open Outlook without that
error message and that none of your data is there? What is there?
