Hello,
One of our clients has a rather weird Outlook distribution problem. We
can create a distribution list by following:
FIle > New > Dist. List > Select Members (select members from address
book of the same domain) > OK > (name the distro list to myfirstdistro)
-  Save & Close
We are also able to see myfistdistro in Contacts with all the members
we had selected, however once we select "new message to contact" from
Contacts , distro list myfirstdistro is only recognized as a text, does
not have a "+" sign in front hence does not get expanded. So my client
has to send email one by one to all suppose to be distro members.
Anyone has any suggestions about how to solve this one?

What happens when you click New>Message, then click To and choose the DL
from the list?

Same thing. DL is only recognized as text, not the actual list.

And, after adding it to the To field, what happens if you press CTRL-K?

Same result. It still appears only as text.

We have come across this problem last week also.  Our DL's were not
"recognised" - and appeared only as text.

My colleague worked out the fix:

She noticed that this only occured where no contacts folder existed under
the Outloook Address Book categories.

To display the contacts folder go through your Control Panel ....

Our DL's then worked fine.

I hope this helps you also

Thank you that also helped us.
