Bought a new computer and am trying to import my Outlook Contacts and In Box.
I have saved as a .pst file on a CD.  However, when I try to import on new
computer I get the following message:  File access is denied.  You do not
have the permission required to access the file D:\contents backup.pst.

Can anyone help me with this problem?
Thank you.

1.  Never Import - Open using Outlook File->Open.
2.  Copy the file to your hard drive and remove the read-only attribute from
its properties.

Yes save the file to your hard drive first. However I have just been advised
by an MVP that it is better to open your backup in Outlook then copy or move
your data as errors can occur when importing.  Please see the answer to my
question below your titled "+" plus sign.
