When I'm in Category view ... none of my contact are listed in alphabetical
order, yet with every other view, they are alphabetized.  Is there a
workaround or way to get them to list alphabetically.
Vers. 2003.
Thanks.

yes. It's a little broken in 2003.  Here's how to do it.

You can still use By Category view as a starting point, then....Use the
Advanced toolbar and turn on the Group By Box (it's beside the Current View
window).

Sort by the field you want in alphabetical order (last name/full name etc)
by clicking that column header. Then Drag the Category Field into the Group
By Box.  It will have jumped out when you sorted.
