I have Ooutlook 2003 and I have it synced with my Blackberry 7520 4.1 SW
version.

By happen stance I go to my deleted folder in Outlook and see 840 individual
contacts there. Which compiled of most recent addtions to my Contact
database.

I then highlight all of these and open the Contact (window ?) so the Deleted
and Contact is side by side. I drag all of them highlighted over and the
transfer window appears. To which I believed they are now importing. WRONG.
They go into one Contact vCard. I click on the vCard and it says it is static.

Is there anyway to get all of these vCards back as individual vCards?

The Outlook Contacts folders doesn't store contacts as vCards.  Is there
something you're leaving out?

Brian,

Unfortunately I am a novice and don't know what other way to describe what I
see and what took place.

I'll try it this way: I dragged the individual contacts into Contact and all
of the vCard icons where in one vCard. A vCard to me is where we input all of
our clients info. Work, home etc. The icon is like a business card profile on
the left and lines simulating entries of info. So I have this one vCard with
all of the icons in the section of the card you can make notes in. I have
tried to move them from here but with no success. If you want a screen shot
and can tell me how to do it I will send it so you can see what I see.

Thank you for your help.

The icon iss just an icon.  It doesn't signify "vCard".

It sounds like you copied the contacts to another contact.  When you click
Edit>Copy to Folder, select the contacts folder where you want the contacts
to go.  When you dragged them, you must have dragged them to one of the
contacts.

Brian,

Yes they are in a contact. Which emptied them from the Deleted folder. Any
solutions to this or an undue?

Not even one at a time?  What about right-click>Copy?  Describe the views
you were using in both windows and I'll try to replicate and see if I can
figure out a way to undo it.

Brian,

That is exactly what I did, side by side, hightlight and drag, all it does
is duplicate a contact with all of them in the "note" box.

You still haven't stated what views you have displaying in those folders.
Address Cards?  Phone List?  By Category?  What?

I'm talking about the view of the Contacts folders you displayed in order to
see the contacts.

Brian,

I am explaining it as I exactly see it. A individual Contact as you would
see with any entry you have on someone. Inside of that to the right is the
area you can write notes at length. It is this area that all of these
contacts sit in static. Now I have solved the problem. As I said in the
beginning it began with my Blackberry 7520. So they had me backup the device
and go in Back up and Restore. Then to advance where a two pane window is
which had me transfer the amount of missing contacts from my Blackberry to my
Desktop. Once that was done I had delete the software and re-install. I would
suggest that anyone having this problem to have a tech walking you through
this so you don't lose any informationdo this.

Brian out of the the times I have had a problem, no one has stayed me as
long as you have. I truly appreciate your persistence in helping me.

Again, thank you for your help.

I was just trying to recreate the conditions that caused the issue in the
first place so I could experiment with getting rid of it.

That's great.  Sorry for all the back-and-forth.
