I forgot how to set up a contact so that when I type in the person's first
name, Outlook automatically inserts the email address.

When you've entered a partical name, click Check Names to get a list of
potential matches.

Go to Tools. Options.  Click on the e-mail options button and then click
the adv e-mail options buttons.  If name checking is checked then
uncheck and ok out until you get back to outlook.  Then go back and
repeat the steps and check the name checking box and it should work.
