I have a similar problem.
Steps are as follows:
1. Open Outlook 2007 Beta 2.
2. Go to "Contacts". 4268 Items are shown.
3. I type in a popular name, e.g. "Charles", into the "Search Contacts" box
and press enter.
4. The reply comes back "No matches found for "Charles"", which is clearly
not true.
5. I tried with a variety of names and places, not of which worked. It
worked last week.
6. When I delete the search term, all the 4268 contact items come back
7. I have to find the contact by scrolling, which takes a long time.
Any ideas?

Does search work in other folders? Have you left Outlook running overnight to ensure that the initial index is completely built? Have you installed WDS 3.0 Beta 2?
