Ive made a distribution list with just name & email, failed to click "add as
contact" box for each one.Now the contact box isnt there when I try to edit
that or add each name as contact. I thought I would be able to integrate my
list into a mailing by having a distribution list, but found that they must
be added as a contact. Any way to add huge list into address book without
having to re-copy,re-paste each individual one?

Addresses in a DL don't have to be contacts, if you don't want them to be.
However, DLs are not the most robust way to send mail to groups of people.
You should consider using categories.  I think you'll have to add all the
people in the DL to your contacts by hand, but you could try saving the DL
as a text file (File>Save As and choose "Text Only" as the file type).  This
will produce a Tab-Separated Value file which Excel can open.  You can then
convert it in Excel to a Comma-Separated Value file, which you should be
able to import into Outlook's Contacts folder, provided you remove the extra
lines the file will contain when you export the DL and that you import it
into Outlook correctly, specifying the proper field mapping and (possibly)
named range.
