When I save a contact it defaults to private

When I create a new contact Outlook 2003 saves it as a private contact
automatically.  Can I turn this off as I don't want them to be private?

For some reason I seem to remember that this is a side effect of the
Business Contact Manager or some other addin you've installed.

There is this article but it only applies to Outlook 2000 - not sure if it
works for Outlook 2002 or 2003:
