I have 2 computers with Outlook 2003 Small Business Edition on them. On one
of them I can open a distribution list, double click on one of the members of
that list and it will open up the contact details for that particular person.
On the other computer I have the same edition installed but when I double
click on a member in a distribution list it tells me it could not find
contact. It may have been deleted or moved from its original location. Would
you like to remove it from the list? Note that we did an export and import
from the 1st computer to the 2nd one. What is different from one computer to
the next that they do not act the same?

You've provided one of the may examples of why exporting and importing is
never the correct way to transfer Outlook data. All links are broken,
including the one between DL members and their underlying Contact Record.
DL's have never survived exporting and importing. There are countless posts
here that tell you how to transfer Outlook data correctly.
