Mario - 26 Aug 2006 17:49 GMT I am using outlook contacts, when I have created a contact I can go to the actions tab & create an appoitment with that contact, however when it creates the appointment it does not put in the address details, the contact name appears at the bottom of the appoitment, this means I have to copy & paste all the contact details so they appear in the subject box and the location, is ther an easier way to do this or can i get a programme that will do this???
Jocelyn Fiorello [MVP - Outlook] - 27 Aug 2006 06:51 GMT With the folder list showing, right click the contact in the list, then right-click and drag it to the Calendar folder. From the context menu choose "Copy here as appointment with text". Now the new appointment form will have the contact details filled in to the message area.

Milly Staples - MVP Outlook - 27 Aug 2006 20:24 GMT If you drag it onto the date, when you release the right mouse button, you should see several copy/move options = context menu.

Mario - 27 Aug 2006 20:42 GMT How can I drag it onto the date, I said that when I drag the contact into the calendar which is in the folder list, as you told me to, but then an untitiled meeting box comes up,there is very little to choose from when I right click, how can I drag it onto the date, either the calendar is open or the contact list...this is very confusing, thank you for being patient

Jocelyn Fiorello [MVP - Outlook] - 27 Aug 2006 21:48 GMT Mario, you need to hold down the right mouse button when you right click the Contact. If you just right click and let go before you drag, it's not the same. Hold down the right mouse button to click on the contact and keep holding it down while you drag. When you release the right mouse button on the Calendar folder, you should get the "context menu" we've been talking about that gives you the options to copy, move, etc. Please post back and let us know if this makes more sense to you.

Mario - 27 Aug 2006 22:18 GMT Ok,thanks,I understand now, but I want the address details to go into the location box on the calendar, what you told me to do does work but it means that I have to open up the appoitment, I need to be able to see the name & address on the calendar because I print this off this shows me who I am seeing the location, do you see what I am trying to do???

Jocelyn Fiorello [MVP - Outlook] - 27 Aug 2006 22:59 GMT There's no automatic way to do that...you will have to copy and paste into the location box yourself.
