How do I clear autocomplete cache when I have no NK2-file?

Hi.

We are part of a worldwide company and have up until now sync'ed our
Exchange 2003 GAL with a central Exch 5.5 organisation using ADC. Now we've
got rid of the old box and use a third party software to sync centrally
instead.

In this transition the old AD objects had to be removed and a new structure
introduced - this went perfectly well. Some email addressing and routing
changed as well for some recipients, and this is causing problems.

Quite a few users have the old addresses in their autocomplete cache and
it's causing to end of noise. I've found out that I'm supposed to delete an
.NK2 file to clear the cache - the problem is that we don't have this file.
Anywhere!

We run Outlook 2003 in variations from straight off the media up until
latest patch on a mix of 2003TS (citrix) and Win XP Pro PC's.

A little addendum - I  just found out that even though I am allowed to see
hidden files, it doesn't mean that I'm allowed to search them! When I
switched the option on i found out that a few of my users have an NK2-file.
And quite a few of those who don't still have the functionality!!

What gives?

The autocompletion cache IS the NK2 file.  You can't have autocompletion
without it.  It will ALWAYS be in %AppData%\Microsoft\Outlook and be named
the same as the mail profile.  Open Windows Explorer and enter the above
path into the Address field, then click Go.

Thanks, Brian.

I've finally located them. Apart from the trik of searching for hidden
files, one thing that threw me was that just a few users' file gets copied
from the central profile repository to the terminal server the user is logged
on to. A search on a server with 53 active users gave me just 3 NK2-files
......

Oh, well - let's just conclude that the world is full of mysteries...
