Get a copy of my contacts and emails

I usually back up C: monthly and C:\Documents and Setting\My Documents daily
on an external hard drive.  I reinstall my laptop a few days ago and would
like to know is how Outlook saves this information or the name of the file
having this info.  I think this shluld be in the Microsoft Office folder but
need to know the name of the file to copy it from the external hard drive to
the internal hard drive.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

The file used has a PST extension but it's stored, typically, in the
C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook folder. So, you might only have a month old copy of
the file.
