I can no longer email my clients out of Outlook 2000.  It just sits in there
and does not send.

You posted no information. A detailed description of the steps you used to
lose this ability, the steps you use to send messages, your transport, and
what happens would be required for anyone to troubleshoot.

> I  have been emailing my clients thru Outlook for quite some time. I type the message and hit send to release it.  It shows in my clients's Activities that is is send.  However since 8-18, I have not been able to send an email.  The Activities shows it is in the Outbox.  I've done nothing to change any settings.  Does that help?

Not at all. There is much more to this story. Email doesn't just stop
working for no reason all by itself. You were there. We weren't. Answer the
rest of my questions.

> I select the client I want to email and click the envelope to open the blank email .  I type the message and click send.  In the Activities of my client, it shows that it has not been sent and this is also the message above the email .  My email goes thru Compuserve. ( IMAP)  I called them to see if they changed anything on their end and they had not .  I have changed nothing either because it was working for me in the past.    The last time I have successfully sent an email thru  Outlook was 8-22-06.  I tried last Thursday to send an email, but it did not send and I didn't have time to work on it.   These are the only steps required to send an email. thru my client contact management  system.   All the settings remained the same.  I haven't changed anything.

Error Messages? Event viewer?
I've never used IMAP. Once you post enough information perhaps someone
familiar with your situation will happen along.
