Deleting Autofiled addresses

Lets say I used to have billgates@123.com as a contact, but I've deleted the
contact.

If I type in bil.... in the email address line, billgates@123.com continues
to pre-fill.

How can I prevent this from happening?

Use the arrow key to select it and press delete.
