Tip: Looking for answers? Try searching our database.

How do I swap contents of "first name" and "last name" globally?

I have a Uniden phone along with Uniden software to copy names/phone numbers
from my Outlook Addressbook to the phone.  Unfortunately, the Uniden software
imports and sorts ONLY by first name, so I'm looking for a way to "fool" it
into importing and sorting by last name.  Uniden has confirmed the limitation
of its software.  I've been thinking about creating another Outlook
Addressbook, in which I will have switched the contents of the "first name"
and "last name" data cells, and then importing from that.  Is there an easier
way?

Thanks,

Question makes no sense. Outlook does not even have an address book. All
Contact data is in Contacts Folders. You need to determine which field you
need to change and determine if you really want to change your source
database just because a synchronization program is incorrectly written.
Sounds like a bad idea to me.
