how can i set up outlook so anyone can edit a contact?

my office has 6 people all using a central server.  currently, only the
person who authors the contact can make any changes.

What is the central server and how are you sharing?  What version(s) of
Outlook?

the central server is a compaq ProLiant ML350 (whatever that means) and we
all have our own email addresses that go through it, i assume.

we are using microsoft office outlook 2003.

I should have explicitly asked if you are using Exchange or not.
