How to make Department field Read Only

Hi All,
How can I make the Department field in the Details tab of Contac
form
read-only using VBScript?
Please suggest me at the earliest.

Please provide more detail. If you make it read only, then no one will ever be able to enter information into it. What's the purpose for that?
