Hi All,

I'm kind of new to Outlook.  I used another email client previously.  I
have created a personal address book, and I've added some names and
addresses in there.  However, when I go to send an email, I want to be
able to type in the persons name and have it fill in the email address.

It did this in my other client.

Instead, it fills in the persons name, and then I cannot send the email
as it bouces back to me.

Can someone help me?  I've been at this for a long time.....

Thanks!!

Also, in my previous email client I was able to vewi headers and
message source, such as when the message was HTML.

How can I do that in Outlook??

You will need to post some accurate information. Outlook does not use a
Personal address book. State your Outlook version and what you actually in
clear, accurate detail.
Outlook does not use your Contact information for autocompletion.

First, you need to state your Outlook version and tell us which address book
you're using.  The Personal Address Book is obsolete.  All your contacts
should be in your Contacts folder.

I am running Outlook 2003.  What I want is to be able to type in the
name of the person I want to send email to, not always have to select
it via mouse & menu..........

I set up a PAB, Personal Address Book, as I thought this was the way to
go.....

As I said, autocompletion has nothing to do with your Contacts or Address
Book. It is enabled by default and will work as soon as you send enough
messages to populate the autocompletion cache.
As far as configuring your address book, remove the PAB. Use the Outlook
Address Book instead.
