how do i delete 1000's of dupe empty contacts in outlook?

During an attempt to import some emails from an excel spreadsheet 100's of
"empty" contacts were made... is there any way to delete these in mass vs.
one at a time?

Sure.  Display your Contacts in a table view like Phone List and sort by the
Full Name field.  That should colocate all the entries in one place.  You
should thenbe able to click the first, shift-click the last (to highlight
them all) and press Delete.
