I have been trying to import contacts from an excel spreadsheet and they are
not appearing in contacts after going through the process.

I have checked for troubleshooting on line and confirmed that the show this
folder as an email Address Book has been checked in Contacts Properties.

The fields are all mapping fine, the data just isn't filling in.

Clarify whether you mean the data is not appearing in the Contacts Folder or
the address book view.
Can't really tell what you're doing wrong when you haven't told us what you
did.

Sorry about that.  I have an excel spreadsheet that I filled out with Names
address phone etc.  I clicked import/export on contacts and clicked import
from file chose excel and do not import duplicate files.  I chose to have the
data imported to the contacts file.  then finished.  I do not get any error
messages  but when I look in the address book I do not see any of those
contacts.  Thanks.

But my question was whether you saw them in your Contacts Folder. We don't
know if this was a problem with your import process or the address book
view. Imported records often fail to resolve their electronic addresses, and
unresolved addresses will not appear in the address book view. Open one of
these Contact Records. Examine the electronic address. Does it appear
correctly and is it resolved (i.e., underlined)? If it is, then save the
Contact and see if that Contact then appears in the address book view.
