How can I reformat the phone numbers?

Currently my Outlooks is showing the numbers like this: (000)000-0000 no
matter hoow I input the number and I'd like to force them to be 000.000.0000.
Is there an easy way to do this?

No. Masking of phone numbers in Outlook is hard coded.
