I only have about 300-400 contacts. Now, for some reason, when I go t
add a new contact I get the error message described earlier. When
click on help it says something about not having enough permissions.
The problem is on another machine I am using so I don't have the exac
error message to copy and paste here

You'll need to provide the rest of the information I requested, including
the size and location of your Outlook data file and what steps caused this
installation to stop working.

Ok lets try this again.
The data file is either about 2 megs.
I am in contacts. I click 'new' contact. I add the information to th
contact. I click 'save and close'. I get the following message:
"Item could not be saved t o this folder. Folder has been deleted o
moved or you do not have permission. Do you want to save a copy of i
in the default folder for the item? Y/N"
When you click on the help button: "Usually this error message appear
when your mailbox has exceeded the size restriction of two terabytes.
Or you have possibly exceeded the mailbox size limit established b
your administrator.
To eliminate this issue, archive or delete message until the size o
the mailbox is less than the limitation imposed by the admistrator o
is less than two terabytes, whichever is smaller."
Those are the exact steps that I take. Nothing more or less

And your claim is that his behavior started suddenly, for no reason after no
changes on your part?
Have you tried any routine maintenance like repairing your PST file or
creating a new profile?

Something like that doesn't happen all by itself. I would not expect
reinstalling to help. Try what I posted instead.

What is your question? Do you need me to repost, or do you not understand
what I posted?
Repair your PST file. Create a new profile from scratch with a new name.
Post back with results. Quote earlier posts when you do.

Ok. I completely uninstalled office. I removed all the software. The
I completely re-installed the office software. Now, when I add a ne
contact and click, "Save and Close" I get the following message:
"The messaging interface has returned an unknown error. If the proble
persists, restart Outlook".
Of course I have several times.
It still won't keep the contact.
Also, when I goto "File:Import and Export" or "File: Data Fil
Management" Nothing happens. I mean, nothing happens.
So, now what?

I never said anything about uninstalling and reinstalling. That won't help a
thing.
I said to repair your data file using the Inbox Repair Tool. Then create a
new profile from scratch. Reinstalling does not create a new profile.
