I'm using Outlook 2003 SP2 and want to forward a distribution list.  The help
tells you to go to Insert and then look up but there is no look up option in
the menu!

Does it say Insert->Item?

So when it tells you to Insert->Item, do you browse to your contacts folder, find teh distribution list and click on it to insert?  What happens then?

Where is the contacts folder?  Is it under an Outlook folder somewhere? Or
can i search for the list through Start, search etc?

Use the folder list view to show all of your folders.  It shouldn't matter anyway since using the INsert->Item dialog should bring up your Outlook folders.  You should not have to use Start->Search at all.

I am afraid I don't know what you are doing as you are obviously not following directions already given.  If you are mixing and matching procedures, I can't help you. If you follow my directions exactly and don't deviate, the options should be obvious.
